BAAN 02 | Bisik Hutan

A New Vernacular by SyarawiArchitect

Perched lightly above the forest floor, BAAN 02 is a gesture of reverence—curved in deference to a centuries-old cluster of trees that anchor the site both spiritually and spatially. Rather than impose upon the land, the architecture bends outward, as if in dialogue with the canopy. The arc of the building is not an aesthetic choice, but a natural consequence of listening—to the presence, energy, and quiet authority of the trees.

Space over boundary | a case of a linked house.

We reject the idea that density must mean compromise. This linked house is an assertion: light over mass, space over boundary, experience over convention. Through strategic voids, raw textures, and living landscapes, we carve freedom into constraint.

It is our attempt to redefine the boundary between collective living and individual space. Stripped to its essentials, the architecture prioritizes experience over footprint—vertical, visceral, and uncompromising.
